I recently started to watch Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and I'll have to tell you, I kinda got hooked. I didn't like it at first because the acting wasn't too hot in the beginning but it's become a really great show. I really like the characters of Kira and Odo. They are really awesome and they look so cute together!

Awww...it's just so...special (sobs openly)
That is a future Odo professing his undying love for Kira. FINALLY!! Jeez, it took you long enough!
Kira:"Are we going to have dinner together or not?"
Odo: "If we do, then what?"
Kira: "I don't know. Maybe we could go dancing."
Odo: "Oh, and after that I suppose you'll expect me to kiss you!"
Kira:"That's possible."
Odo: "Who needs dinner, then. Why don't I just get it over with and kiss you right now."
Kira: "Well, why don't you..." MWAH!!!
Kira: "You're right...who needs dinner!" MWAH!!(again!)

Never know how much I love you
Never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me
I get a fever that's so hard to bare

You give me fever
When you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever
In the mornin'
Fever all through the night

Sun lights up the day time
Moon lights up the night
I light up when you call my name
and you know I'm gonna treat you right

You give me fever
When you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever
In the mornin'
Fever all through the night

They give you fever
When you kiss them
Fever if you live you learn
Fever
Till you sizzle
But what a lovely way to burn

What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn

Just stay close.

Found on a deserted planet, apparently abandoned, Odo began his life in the human civilization with a Bajoran-Dr. Mora Pol. This, normally, would have seemed like a golden opportunity...a young Changeling gets to learn from a great Bajoran scientist...but it was far from "Golden." At first, Odo, then, known only as "Unknown Sample", wasn't even considered a life form. The name Odo actually means "Nothing." Not a great way to assimilate into the human race, is it? He spent much of his life just trying to establish himself as equal among the other humanoids but he was unsuccessful. He finally found friendship (and love) on Deep Space Nine. There, was reunited with Kira (someone he'd met on a Cardassian ship when Kira was a suspect for murder.) They were just friends for a while and the Odo realized he was in love with her. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Kira didn't have a much better time either. Her father was killed in the resistance of Bajor while her mother died from malnutrition in a Cardassian work camp. Now an orphan, Kira spent most of her life in places like Concentration camps. When she was old enough, she joined the resistance and began to fight the same Cardassians that had killed her parents and most of her friends and family. Despite the return of Bajorn independence, Kira would soon face even more grief than ever and she would have some of the best years of her life on Deep Space Nine.
